It is narrated from Sayyiduna Khabbab (may Allah be pleased with him) that we complained to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about the oppression of the disbelievers, while he was lying in the shade of the Ka'bah with a cloth placed under his head. We said to him: "Why do you not supplicate to Allah for our help?" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Those before you also faced such situations that a man would be dug into the ground and made to stand in it, and then a saw would be placed on his head and he would be cut into two pieces. Even such oppression would not turn them away from their religion. And iron combs would be run over their bodies, tearing the flesh from their bones and nerves, yet they would not turn back from their religion. By Allah, Allah will surely complete and make His religion prevail to such an extent that a rider will travel from Madinah Munawwarah to Hadramaut and will fear none but Allah. He will not even fear a wolf attacking his sheep. But you are being impatient."

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … May Allah forgive us, what kinds of trials one has to endure because of Islam. In Makkah Mukarramah, what form of oppression was not inflicted upon Sayyiduna Khabbab radi Allahu anhu and Sayyiduna Bilal radi Allahu anhu and others? Yet the Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam instructed patience in the face of these oppressions and advised not to hasten.
