It is narrated from Haritha bin Mudarrib, he says: I went to serve Sayyiduna Khabbab (may Allah be pleased with him), he had undergone seven cauterizations for the treatment of an illness, but there was no relief. He said: If I had not heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that none of you should wish for death, I would certainly have wished for death. I have seen myself with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in such a state that I did not have even a single dirham, and now the situation is that there are forty thousand dirhams in one corner of my house. After this, his shroud was brought to him, he looked at it and began to weep, and then said: We have such a shroud, but Sayyiduna Hamza (may Allah be pleased with him) also was there, and for his shroud there was only a striped sheet; when it was placed over his head, his feet would be uncovered, and when it was placed over his feet, his head would be uncovered. In the end, it was placed over his head and idhkhir grass was placed over his feet.
