It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the slave of Sayyiduna Hatib bin Abi Balta’ah (may Allah be pleased with him), who was from the tribe of Banu Asad, came and complained about his master, saying: O Messenger of Allah! Hatib will surely enter Hell. But the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: You are wrong in what you say; he has attained the honor of participating in Badr and Hudaybiyyah, (and those who participated in Badr and Hudaybiyyah will not enter Hell).

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Since Sayyiduna Hatib radi Allahu anhu had participated in (the battles of) Badr and Hudaybiyyah, Allah Ta’ala had declared him among the people of Paradise. However, even then, a human being can still commit mistakes and errors.
It is possible for mistakes to occur from the noble Companions (Sahabah kiram), but the oceans of their exemplary virtues will overcome their errors. In sha Allah Ta’ala.
