It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna Haritha (may Allah be pleased with him) went for espionage, when suddenly an arrow struck him and he was martyred. His mother said: O Messenger of Allah! You know how deep my attachment is with Haritha. Now, if he is in Paradise, I will be patient, otherwise you will see what I do. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Umm Haritha! Paradise is not just one, there are many Paradises, and Haritha is in the most superior Paradise. Or the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He is in the highest rank of Jannat al-Firdaws. In another narration, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Umm Haritha! There are many Paradises, and Haritha is in the highest Jannat al-Firdaws.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … In the narration of Sahih Bukhari, it is mentioned that Sayyiduna Harithah radi Allahu anhu was of a young age. He participated in the Battle of Badr, but his participation was not in the capacity of a combatant or warrior, nor did he go to fight the enemy. He had gone out to gather information about the enemy’s situation when an arrow from the enemy struck him and he was martyred. His mother thought that the station of martyrdom and Paradise is for those who are martyred while fighting the enemy, whereas her son had neither gone out for combat nor was he killed while fighting. Furthermore, his mother was also uncertain because, until there was information from the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, it could not be said with certainty whether he was among the people of Paradise or not. Therefore, she inquired: if he is among the people of Paradise, I will be patient, and if he is not in Paradise, then I will express my love and attachment to him by weeping for him. By this, she did not mean wailing (nawh), because wailing is forbidden. And if, for the sake of argument, her intention was indeed wailing, then the answer would be that this incident took place at the time of the Battle of Badr, whereas the prohibition of wailing was established after the Battle of Uhud. And Allah knows best.
