It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Do not let the Bedouins dominate you regarding the name of your prayer. Beware! This is the ‘Isha prayer. They enter into the darkness of the night because of their camels.” In another narration it is stated: “They call this prayer ‘Atamah because they enter into the darkness due to milking their camels.”
