It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Bilal! What is that deed which you do, from which you have great hope for benefit, that is, reward, in Islam? Because I heard the sound of your footsteps ahead of me in Paradise last night. Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: I have not done any such deed in Islam for which I would have received this reward, except that it is my habit that whenever I perform ablution during the day or night, then as much as Allah Almighty gives me the ability, I offer prayer after it.
