(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ) قَالَ: جَدَبَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ السَّمَرَ بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ، قَالَ خَالِدٌ (أَحَدُ الرُّوَاةِ) مَعْنَى جَدَبَ إِلَيْنَا، يَقُولُ عَابَهَا، ذَمَّهَا
(Second chain) They said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, considered it blameworthy and objectionable for us to engage in conversation after the 'Isha prayer. The narrator Khalid says: The meaning of "jadaba" is to blame and to find fault.
