Hadith 11601

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the occasion of Hudaybiyyah, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) ordered that no fire should be lit at night (so that the enemy would not estimate our numbers). Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him) says that later, when the situation became peaceful, the Prophet gave general permission that whenever you wish, you may light a fire and prepare food. Indeed, the reality is that no nation after you will be able to reach your sa' and mudd.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … That is, whatever you have spent in the way of Allah during these moments, even if it is only the amount of a sa‘ (a specific measure) or a mudd (a smaller measure), the people who come later will not be able to attain this reward and merit, even through giving large amounts in charity.
