Hadith 1160

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((لَا سَمَرَ بَعْدَ الصَّلَاةِ يَعْنِي الْعِشَاءَ الْآخِرَةِ إِلَّا لِأَحَدِ رَجُلَيْنِ مُصَلٍّ أَوْ مُسَافِرٍ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: After the ‘Isha prayer, there should be no conversation, except for two people: one who is praying and one who is traveling.
