It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) delivered a sermon at the place of Jabiyah, saying: Once, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood among us just as I am standing among you, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I advise you to treat my companions well, and also those who will come after them, and also those who will come after (the Tabi‘in); (I advise you to treat them well). After that, lying will become so widespread that a man will begin to give testimony before he is asked for it. So whoever among you wishes to enter Paradise, let him adhere to the congregation of the Muslims, for Satan is with the one who is alone, and he is a little farther from two people. None of you should be alone with a non-mahram woman, for the third among such two is Satan. And whoever is pleased by doing a good deed and displeased by committing a sin, he is a believer.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … In this, the virtues and merits of the noble Companions (Sahabah), the eminent Followers (Tabi‘in), and the Followers of the Followers (Taba‘ Tabi‘in) are mentioned, that due to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, regard should be shown for these pure personalities. We should overlook the slips and errors that occurred from these people of the sacred eras due to human nature, and we should not criticize them in any way.
