Hadith 11510

It is narrated from Umar bin Ibrahim Yashkari, who says: I heard my mother narrate that she went towards the House of Allah with the intention of Hajj. In those days, the House of Allah had two doors. She says: After completing the Tawaf, I went to the service of Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her). I said: O Mother of the Believers, your son sends you greetings. In those days, people used to say very wrong and unjust things about Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him). What do you say about this? She said: Whoever curses Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him), upon him is the curse of Allah. I think she repeated this statement three times. I myself have seen the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in such a state that he had placed his head on the thigh of Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him), and I was wiping the sweat from the forehead of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and revelation was descending upon him. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) married his two daughters, one after the other, to Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say to him: "Uthman! Write." Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) said: Allah Almighty grants such a status with His Prophet only to one of His chosen servants.
