Hadith 11498

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In the Hereafter, a person will be with the one whom he loves. Also, before his passing, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had written letters to Kisra, Caesar, and all the tyrants.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Muslim rulers should also fulfill the right of representing the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) and invite the ministers and kings of disbelieving states to Islam, entrusting the outcome to Allah Almighty.

When the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) made a treaty with the Quraysh at the place of Hudaybiyyah and, being assured from their side, returned to Madinah Munawwarah, he wrote letters to kings and rulers, inviting them to Islam and reminding them of their dual responsibility.
