The servant of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, Sayyiduna Abu Muwayhibah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, received a command from Allah Almighty to supplicate for forgiveness for the people of Baqi’. So the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, supplicated for them three times. When it was the second night, he, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "Abu Muwayhibah! Saddle my mount." So he mounted it, and I walked along with him on foot. When we went ahead, he dismounted from his mount and I stood holding the mount. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, stood by the people of Baqi’ and said: "Congratulations to you for the state you are in."
