بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي ذِكْر مَنْ تَزَوَّجَهُنَّ أَوْ وَهَبَهُن أَنْفُسَهُنَّ ﷺ وَلَمْ يَدْخُلْ بِهِنَّ أَوْ وَعَدَ بِزَوَاجِهِنَّChapter on What Has Been Reported Regarding Those Whom He Married or Who Offered Themselves to Him ﷺ and He Did Not Consummate With Them or Promised to Marry Them

عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أُمِّ شَرِيكٍ أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ مِمَّنْ وَهَبَتْ نَفْسَهَا لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ
It is narrated from Sayyida Umm Sharik (may Allah be pleased with her) that she was among those women who offered themselves to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … For a woman to offer herself as a gift (hibah) to someone—this was a special privilege (khasiyyah) of the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), meaning that women could offer themselves as a gift to the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam). After that, it was at the discretion of the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) whether he would marry her himself or have her married to someone else.
