It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the wives of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gathered together and consulted with each other, and sent Sayyida Fatima (may Allah be pleased with her) to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), saying to her: "Go and say to him that your wives demand justice from you regarding the daughter of Abu Quhafah." Sayyida Fatima (may Allah be pleased with her) stated: I went to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he was with Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), wrapped in her sheet. She went and said to him: "Your wives have sent me to you; they demand justice from you regarding the daughter of Abu Quhafah." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: "Do you love me?" Zuhri said: Sayyida Fatima (may Allah be pleased with her) replied: "Yes." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then love this Aisha as well." In another narration, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Daughter! Do you not like what I like?" Sayyida Fatima (may Allah be pleased with her) replied: "Why not?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then love her, that is, Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), as well." Sayyida Fatima (may Allah be pleased with her) listened to his words and returned, and informed them of the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) reply. All of them said: "You have done nothing? Go again to him (peace and blessings be upon him)." But Sayyida Fatima (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "By Allah! I will not go to him (peace and blessings be upon him) about this matter at all." Sayyida Fatima (may Allah be pleased with her) was truly the daughter of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). After this, the wives sent Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyida Zaynab bint Jahsh (may Allah be pleased with her) (after preparing her). Among the pure wives, only she was a match for Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her). She went and said: "Your wives have sent me to your service; they demand justice and equality from you regarding the daughter of Abu Quhafah." Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) says: As soon as she said this, she turned towards me and began to speak harshly to me directly. I began to wait for the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and looked at his eyes to see if he (peace and blessings be upon him) would permit me to respond to her. But he (peace and blessings be upon him) said nothing. She reproached me so much that I became certain that now, if I retaliated, it would not be displeasing to him (peace and blessings be upon him). So I turned to her and soon overcame her. Seeing this situation, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: "After all, she is the daughter of Abu Bakr." In another narration, the words are: Upon hearing my words, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) smiled and said: "She is the daughter of Abu Bakr." Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says: Among the pure wives, I did not find anyone better, more charitable, more devoted to maintaining family ties, and more eager to seek nearness to Allah than Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyida Zaynab (may Allah be pleased with her). She had only one flaw: she would become passionate and angry very quickly, but then she would soon let it go.
