وَهِيَ الثَّالِثَهُ مِنْ أَزْوَاجِهِ¤بَابٌ فِي تَارِيخِ الْعَقْدِ عَلَيْهَا وَالْبَنَاءِ بِهَا وَكَمْ كَانَ عُمَرُهَا وَقِصَّةِ زِفَافِهَاShe Is the Third of His Wives—Chapter on the History of Her Marriage Contract, Consummation, Her Age, and the Story of Her Wedding

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ تَزَوَّجَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي شَوَّالٍ وَأُدْخِلْتُ عَلَيْهِ فِي شَوَّالٍ فَأَيُّ نِسَائِهِ كَانَ أَحْظَى عِنْدَهُ مِنِّي فَكَانَتْ تَسْتَحِبُّ أَنْ تَدْخُلَ نِسَاؤُهَا فِي شَوَّالٍ
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) married me in the month of Shawwal and I was sent to his house in the same month of Shawwal. So which of the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was more esteemed in his eyes than me? Thus, Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) used to prefer marrying the women of her family in the month of Shawwal.
