It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was a servant bound by the command of Allah Almighty. By Allah! Whatever message was given to him from Allah, he (peace and blessings be upon him) conveyed it exactly as it was, and apart from three things, he did not give us any special command separate from the general Ummah: He (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded us to perform complete ablution, not to eat charity, and not to mate donkeys with mares. Musa bin Salim says that when I met Abdur Rahman bin Hasan, I said to him: Abdullah bin Ubaidullah bin Abbas narrated to me in this way, so he said that there were few horses among Banu Hashim and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wanted their number to increase, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade them from this act.
