It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed Tawaf of the Ka'bah while riding his camel and touched the Black Stone with his staff. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) came to the place where Zamzam water was being served and said: "Give me some to drink." They said: "This water is affected by people; we will bring you (clean) water from home." But he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no need for that; give me to drink from where the people are drinking."

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … This was an example of the humility, lack of affectation, simplicity, and beautiful character of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, that he preferred for himself the very thing that common people were using, even though there were people present who could provide clean water. It is narrated from Abdullah ibn Abbas radi Allahu anhu that the Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam performed tawaf of the Ka‘bah while riding on a camel and touched the Black Stone (Hajar al-Aswad) with his staff. After that, he sallallahu alayhi wa sallam went to the place where Zamzam is drunk and said: Give me Zamzam to drink. Those serving said: Many people come here (meaning, this water is not clean). We can bring you clean and pure water from the house. He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam replied: I have no need for that. Give me to drink from the same place where the common people drink.
Benefits: … These issues have already been discussed in detail in the Book of Hajj.
