Hadith 11334

عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِأَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَيُّ اللِّبَاسِ كَانَ أَعْجَبَ قَالَ عَفَّانُ أَوْ أَحَبَّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الْحِبَرَةُ
Qatadah says: I asked Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him): Which clothing was most beloved to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)? He replied: The Yemeni cotton and striped cloak.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … This was the most beloved and precious garment of Yemen; it was soft and made with beauty and strength, while the blessed body of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was also soft and beautiful. Therefore, this clothing was most suitable for the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. Such a garment also does not become dirty quickly.
