Hadith 11327

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ مَا نَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَبْلَ الْعِشَاءِ وَلَا سَمَرَ بَعْدَهَا
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would not sleep before the Isha prayer, nor would he engage in conversation after the Isha prayer.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Engaging in idle talk and conversation after the ‘Isha prayer is disliked (makruh); one should not waste time after ‘Isha without a valid Shar‘i excuse, except if it is a gathering of goodness or Islamic knowledge, or there is some important worldly necessity.
