(Second chain) It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that his father was martyred while in debt. I went to the service of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and submitted: My father has passed away and he is in debt, while I have nothing for repayment except the dates’ fruit, and even the fruit of the dates will not cover even one-sixth of the debt. So please come with me so that the creditors do not speak harshly to me. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) began to walk around one of the piles of dates. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed and sat down. He (peace and blessings be upon him) inquired: Where are his creditors? He (peace and blessings be upon him) paid their dues in full. The amount he (peace and blessings be upon him) gave them, that much fruit still remained.
