It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: We were on a journey with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the companions did not find any water. Then a brass vessel filled with water was brought. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) placed his blessed hand in it and spread his fingers. I saw that water was gushing forth from his (peace and blessings be upon him) fingers. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Come towards the water for ablution and the blessing sent down by Allah." A'mash says: Salim bin Abi Ja'd informed me that he asked Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him): How many people were there that day? He replied: We were fifteen hundred (1500).
