Hadith 11283

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to lean against a date-palm trunk among the pillars of the mosque while delivering the sermon. When a pulpit was prepared for him and he stood upon it, that trunk began to cry restlessly like a she-camel. Its sound was heard by everyone present in the mosque. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) descended from the pulpit and embraced the trunk to his chest, whereupon it became silent.
