بَابُ وَقْتِ الْعَصْرِ وَمَا جَاءَ فِيهَاChapter on the Time of Asr and What Has Been Reported Regarding It
Hadith 1128

عَنْ أَبِي أَرْوَى رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: كُنْتُ أُصَلِّي مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْعَصْرَ ثُمَّ آتِي الشَّجَرَةَ قَبْلَ غُرُوبِ الشَّمْسِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Urwah (may Allah be pleased with him), who says: I used to perform the Asr prayer with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), and then I would reach the tree before the sun had set.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … In the narration from Abu Ruway, also reported by Haythami, there is mention of arriving at Dhu’l-Hulayfah, from which it is understood that the tree mentioned in the hadith under discussion was in Dhu’l-Hulayfah. (Buloogh al-Amani) (Abdullah Rafiq)
