Hadith 11264

عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ انْشَقَّ الْقَمَرُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ شِقَّتَيْنِ حَتَّى نَظَرُوا إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ”اشْهَدُوا“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) that in the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), the moon was split into two parts, to the extent that people saw it. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Bear witness.

Benefits: … This is such a universal and cosmic miracle that is exclusive to our Prophet, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam; before him, no other prophet was granted such a miracle.
