عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ”إِنِّي نُصِرْتُ بِالصَّبَا وَإِنَّ عَادًا أُهْلِكَتْ بِالدَّبُورِ“
Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I was helped by the east wind. And the people of ‘Ad were destroyed by a violent wind coming from the west, that is, a severe storm.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Bād-e-Sabā: This is well-known; it is also called "qabool" because it blows opposite the door of the Ka‘bah. In reality, this wind comes from the direction of the east.
Dabūr: This wind blows from the direction of the west and is the opposite of Bād-e-Sabā.
