Hadith 11208

It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) that there were certain actions which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) wished to perform regularly, but he would refrain from them solely out of concern that people might start acting upon them and then Allah might make them obligatory upon them. The relief that was granted to people from Allah’s obligations was something the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) liked.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The desire of the Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was that people should attain success, but that they should not have to undergo hardship. The reality of the matter is that the entire Shari‘ah of the Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is comprised of ease.
