بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي تَوَاضُعِهِ ﷺChapter on What Has Been Reported Regarding His ﷺ Humility
Hadith 11188

عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ إِنْ كَانَتِ الْأَمَةُ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ لَتَأْخُذُ بِيَدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَتَنْطَلِقُ بِهِ فِي حَاجَتِهَا
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that (the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was so humble that) a slave girl from Madinah would come and take the hand of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and lead him away for any task she needed (and the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, would go with her without any hesitation).

Benefits: … SubhanAllah! This is the humility of the leader of mankind, that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would accompany a slave-girl to help her with her task. Today, before doing anyone’s work, we rely on our own status and connections.
