Sayyida Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) never cursed any Muslim by name, nor did he ever take revenge for any mistreatment done to him, except when the limits of Allah the Exalted were violated. Nor did he (peace and blessings be upon him) ever strike anyone with his hand, except in the matter of Allah’s cause. Whenever anything was asked from him, he (peace and blessings be upon him) never refused it, except if it was something sinful. If it was a sinful matter, then he would be the farthest from it. And whenever he (peace and blessings be upon him) was given a choice between two matters, he would choose the easier of the two, as long as it was not sinful. And when he (peace and blessings be upon him) would finish reviewing the Qur’an with Jibreel (peace be upon him), he would become even more generous than before.
