It is narrated from Sayyiduna Qais bin ‘Aidh (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) delivering a sermon while riding a she-camel whose nose or ear was cut, and an Abyssinian slave (Sayyiduna Bilal, may Allah be pleased with him) was holding its rein. During the days when Mukhtar bin Abi ‘Ubaid Thaqafi rose to prominence, Sayyiduna Qais (may Allah be pleased with him) passed away in those days.
