Hadith 11050

It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was shrouded in three white garments made in Sahool. And when Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) was near death, he inquired: "In how many garments was the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) shrouded?" I replied: "In three garments." In another narration, it is mentioned: "In three Yemeni sheets." Upon hearing this, Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Shroud me in these two (in use) garments of mine, and buy one more garment."
