بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي تَأْثِيرِ وَفَاتِهِ عَلَى أَصْحَابِهِ وَالِ بيته ودَهْشَتِهِمْ عِنْدَ قَبْضِ رُوحِهِ وَبُكَاءِ هِمْ لِذلِكَ وَتَقْبِيلُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ إِيَّاهُ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهِ ﷺChapter on What Has Been Reported Regarding the Effect of His Death on His Companions and Family, Their Shock at the Taking of His Soul, Their Weeping, and Abu Bakr’s Kissing Him After His Death ﷺ
Hadith 11042

(وَعَنْهَا أَيْضًا) أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقَ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا فَتَيَمَّمَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ مُسَجًّى بِبُرْدِ حِبَرَةٍ فَكَشَفَ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ ثُمَّ أَكَبَّ عَلَيْهِ فَقَبَّلَهُ وَبَكَى ثُمَّ قَالَ بِأَبِي وَأُمِّي وَاللَّهِ لَا يَجْمَعُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَلَيْكَ مَوْتَتَيْنِ أَبَدًا أَمَّا الْمَوْتَةُ الَّتِي قُدِّرَتْ عَلَيْكَ فَقَدْ مِتَّهَا
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that (after the passing of the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him) Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) came to her and went straight to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). A striped sheet had been placed over the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He removed the cloth from the radiant face of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), leaned over him, kissed him, and began to weep. Then he said: "May my father and mother be sacrificed for you (peace and blessings be upon you)! By Allah, Allah will never combine two deaths upon you (peace and blessings be upon you). The first death that was destined for you (peace and blessings be upon you) has already come upon you."
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Death is such a reality that no one has ever denied it, and every low and high will inevitably be afflicted by it. In accordance with this very law of nature, the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) too had to accept death.
