(Second chain) On the day of Ta’if, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: Whoever slaves come to us, they will be free. Then, along with Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah, some slaves came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), and he set them free.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … There are also other ahadith which establish that when the slave of a disbeliever becomes Muslim, he will become free. However, keep in mind that if the owner becomes Muslim before his slave, and then the slave becomes Muslim, the slave will be returned to the owner, because the owner, by accepting Islam, has secured his property, and his slave is also his property. See hadith number (5120).
