Hadith 10869

Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) entered the House of Allah (the Ka'bah), my brother Sayyiduna Fadl bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) was also with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did not perform prayer inside the Ka'bah. However, when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered, he prostrated between two pillars, and then sat and supplicated.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … It is correct that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam engaged in glorification (tasbih), declaration of Allah’s greatness (takbir), seeking forgiveness (istighfar), supplication (du‘a), etc. inside the Ka‘bah, but the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam also performed prayer (salah) there.
