Hadith 10738

عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِذَا ذُكِرَ أَصْحَابُ أُحُدٍ أَمَا وَاللَّهِ لَوَدِدْتُ أَنِّي غُودِرْتُ مَعَ أَصْحَابِ نُحْصَ الْجَبَلِ يَعْنِي سَفْحَ الْجَبَلِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I heard that when the martyrs of Uhud were mentioned, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would say: By Allah! I wish that I too were buried with them at the foot of the mountain.

Benefits: … In this, there is a great statement of the honor and virtue of the martyrs of Uhud, that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is expressing the desire to be buried alongside them.
