Hadith 10717

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Usaid (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: On the day of Badr, when we confronted the disbelievers, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to us: When the enemy advances upon you, that is, comes very close, then shoot arrows at them. And I think that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also said that instead of shooting arrows blindly, shoot them with caution.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … There was also a shortage of weapons in the Muslim army, and by firing arrows from a distance, the arrows could also be wasted, because it is possible that due to the distance they might not hit the target, or the enemy might get an opportunity to avoid them.
