Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty has not listened attentively to anything of His servant more than the two rak‘ahs he performs, and as long as the servant remains in prayer, goodness is sprinkled over his head. And people have not attained closeness to Allah Almighty with any deed that is like that which has come from Allah Almighty. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) meant the Noble Qur’an.
