عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ أَنَّهَا حَمَلَتْ بِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ بِمَكَّةَ قَالَتْ فَخَرَجْتُ وَأَنَا مُتِمٌّ فَأَتَيْتُ الْمَدِينَةَ فَنَزَلْتُ بِقُبَاءَ فَوَلَدْتُهُ بِقُبَاءَ ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَوَضَعْتُهُ فِي حِجْرِهِ ثُمَّ دَعَا بِتَمْرَةٍ فَمَضَغَهَا ثُمَّ تَفَلَ فِي فِيهِ فَكَانَ أَوَّلَ مَا دَخَلَ فِي جَوْفِهِ رِيقُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ ثُمَّ حَنَّكَهُ بِتَمْرَةٍ ثُمَّ دَعَا لَهُ وَبَرَّكَ عَلَيْهِ وَكَانَ أَوَّلَ مَوْلُودٍ وُلِدَ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ
It is narrated from Sayyida Asma bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her) that she became pregnant with Abdullah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) in Mecca. She says: When I set out on the migration journey from Mecca, my pregnancy term was complete. I arrived in Madinah Munawwarah and stayed in Quba, and there I gave birth to the child. I brought him to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and placed him in his (peace be upon him) lap. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called for dates, chewed them, and put his blessed saliva into the child's mouth. The very first thing to enter his stomach was the blessed saliva of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed tahneek with dates and prayed for blessings for him. In the era of Islam, this was the first child to be born.
