It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived in Madinah Munawwarah, it was a land of severe epidemic. Then Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) fell ill, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) made this supplication: O Allah! Make Madinah Munawwarah as beloved to us as Makkah Mukarramah, or even more so, and make its climate healthy, and bless us in its Mudd and Sa’ (measures), and transfer its fever from here to the region of Juhfah.
