(Second chain) It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mujashi’ (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: After the conquest of Makkah, I came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with my brother Ma’bad and said: O Messenger of Allah! I have brought my brother to you so that you may take his pledge of migration. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Those who migrated have already gone ahead with the reward of migration. In another narration, it is: Migration has already surpassed with its people. I said: Then upon what will you take his pledge, O Messenger of Allah? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Upon Islam, faith, and jihad. Yahya bin Ishaq, the narrator, says: Later I met Sayyiduna Ma’bad (may Allah be pleased with him), who was the elder brother of Sayyiduna Mujashi’ (may Allah be pleased with him), and asked him the same question. He said: Mujashi’ has spoken the truth.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Imam Nawawi said: The meaning of this hadith is that the migration (hijrah) which became a distinguishing characteristic for the Muhajirun was the migration that took place before the conquest of Makkah (Fath Makkah). That migration was the migration that was praiseworthy and virtuous.
