بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي قُدُومِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ وَخُرُوجِ أَهْلِهَا بِهِ وَاسْتِقْبَالِهِمْ إِيَّاهُ جَمِيعًا رِجَالًا وَنِسَاءً ونُزُولِهِ بِدَارِ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ الْأَنْصَارِيChapter: What has been reported regarding his ﷺ arrival in Madinah, the people coming out to greet him, men and women, and his stay at the house of Abu Ayyub al-Ansari
Hadith 10623

عَنْ مُحَارِبِ بْنِ دِثَارٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَّا قَدِمَ الْمَدِينَةَ نَحَرُوا جَزُورًا أَوْ بَقَرَةً وَقَالَ مَرَّةً نَحَرْتُ جَزُورًا أَوْ بَقَرَةً
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived in Madinah Munawwarah, the people slaughtered a camel or a cow.
