Ash'ath narrates: An elder from Banu Malik bin Kinanah told me that he saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the market of Dhu al-Majaz, as he was moving through it and saying: "O people! Say Lā ilāha illallāh (There is no god but Allah), you will be successful." Meanwhile, Abu Jahl, throwing dust on himself, was saying, "O people! Do not let him deceive you about your religion; he wants you to abandon your gods and al-Lat and al-Uzza." But the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) paid no attention to him. We asked that elder, "Describe for us the blessed appearance of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)." He said: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was wearing two red garments. He had a moderate height, a well-built body, a beautiful face, his hair was intensely black, his complexion was very fair, and his hair was thick."

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Abu Lahab and Abu Jahl were fierce enemies of Islam and the people of Islam. In order to increase their own misfortune, they persisted in their opposition to you (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam). Ultimately, both of these leaders were utterly defeated—one was killed in the Battle of Badr, and the other died a natural but wretched death a few days later. Meanwhile, the honor and greatness of the Noble Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) continued to increase day by day.
