It is narrated from Sayyiduna Rabi’ah bin ‘Abbad Daili (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: Before migrating to Madinah Munawwarah, I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that during the season of Hajj, he would go to the dwellings of people in Mina and say: O people! Indeed, Allah Almighty commands you to worship Him and not associate anything with Him. There would be a man behind the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) who would say: This man is commanding you to abandon the religion of your forefathers. I asked: Who is the man behind? It was said: This is Abu Lahab.

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … The concern of the Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was that the message of Allah be made widespread and that people be guided towards the path of guidance. For the fulfillment of this objective, he sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would continuously engage in planning. One such plan is mentioned in this hadith: that during the occasion of Hajj, people would come from distant regions, and he would preach to them. It was possible that they themselves would accept Islam, or through them, the message of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would become widespread.
