It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash’ari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Verily, Allah does not sleep, nor does it befit Him to sleep. He lowers the scale for some and raises it for others. His veil is fire. If He were to remove that veil, the radiance and splendor of His Face would burn everything that His gaze reaches. Then Abu Ubaidah, the narrator, recited this verse: When Musa reached there, he was called: Blessed is whoever is in the fire and whoever is around it, and glorified is Allah, the Lord of all the worlds.
