عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ تَزَوَّجَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُتَوَفَّى خَدِيجَةَ قَبْلَ مَخْرَجِهِ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ بِسَنَتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثٍ وَأَنَا بِنْتُ سَبْعِ سِنِينَ
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) married me two or three years before migrating to Madinah Munawwarah, at that time I was seven years old. This was during the days of the death of Sayyida Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her).
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Sayyidah Khadijah radi Allahu anha was called "Tahira" (the Pure) during the era of ignorance (Jahiliyyah). According to the preferred opinion, Sayyidah passed away in the month of Ramadan in the 10th year of Prophethood. She spent twenty-five years with you, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and in this way, for a long period, this great lady continued to be a support for the Noble Prophet, sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
