Hadith 10479

عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ((لَوْلَا حَدَاثَةُ عَهْدِ قَوْمِكِ بِالْكُفْرِ لَنَقَضْتُ الْكَعْبَةَ ثُمَّ جَعَلْتُهَا عَلَى أُسِّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فَإِنَّ قُرَيْشًا يَوْمَ بَنَتْهَا اسْتَقْصَرَتْ وَلَجَعَلْتُ لَهَا خَلْفًا)) وَقَالَ أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ((خِلْفًا))
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If your people had not recently emerged from the period of disbelief, I would have demolished the Ka'bah and rebuilt it upon the foundations of Ibrahim (peace be upon him). When the Quraysh constructed it, they reduced its size, and I would have also placed a door at the back of it.
