It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) was playing with children when a person came, split open the blessed stomach of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), took out a clot of blood from it and threw it away, and said: "This was the portion of Satan from you." Then he washed it with Zamzam water from a golden basin. The children went to the nurse of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) and said: "Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) has been killed, Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) has been killed." So when she came to take the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), his color had changed. Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says: We used to see the mark of the stitching on the chest of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).

Brief Explanation
Benefits: … This clot of blood was among those components through which the creation of a human being is completed. Then, the removal of this clot from the blessed body of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is a proof of his exalted status, a miracle (karamah) from Allah Ta'ala, and it indicates that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was being prepared for a great station.
If the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam had been born without this clot and had been free from it by birth, then people would not have been able to perceive the true reality of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. Thus, Allah Ta'ala manifested this miracle through Jibril alayhis salam, so that just as the outward perfection of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is established, the perfection of his inner self would also be proven.
