Humaid says: It was asked from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) whether the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wore a ring. He said: Yes, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once delayed the ‘Isha prayer until midnight. Then, when he (peace and blessings be upon him) had finished the prayer, he turned towards us, the Companions, and said: (The people of the other mosques) have performed this prayer and gone to sleep, but as long as you remained waiting for this prayer, you were in prayer. Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: It is as if I am still looking at the shine of the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) ring.
