عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا أَنَّ خَدِيجَةَ سَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ وَرَقَةَ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ فَقَالَ قَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ فِي الْمَنَامِ فَرَأَيْتُ عَلَيْهِ ثِيَابَ بَيَاضٍ فَأَحْسِبُهُ لَوْ كَانَ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّارِ لَمْ يَكُنْ عَلَيْهِ ثِيَابُ بَيَاضٍ
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that Sayyida Khadija (may Allah be pleased with her) asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) about Waraqah bin Nawfal. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: I saw him in a dream, he was wearing white clothes. I think that if he were among the people of Hell, he would not be wearing white clothes.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … Waraqah bin Nawfal was the paternal cousin of Sayyidah Khadijah radi Allahu anha. Like Zayd bin Amr, he remained upon the natural disposition (fitrah), but he preferred Christianity and accepted it, meeting with various priests. In the light of this religion, after the first revelation descended upon the Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he affirmed the truth of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and encouraged him.
