Hadith 10417

وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ ((إِنِّي لَأَرْجُو إِنْ طَالَ بِي عُمُرٌ أَنْ أَلْقَى عِيسَى بْنَ مَرْيَمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فَإِنْ عَجِلَ لِي مَوْتٌ فَمَنْ لَقِيَهُ مِنْكُمْ فَلْيُقْرِئْهُ مِنِّي السَّلَامَ))
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: I hope that if my life is prolonged, I will meet ‘Isa ibn Maryam, peace be upon him, and if my death comes soon, then whoever among you meets him, convey my greetings to him.
Brief Explanation
Benefits: … All Muslims should memorize this hadith and teach it to their progeny, so that whoever is present in the era of the appearance of ‘Isa (alayhis salam) may convey to him the greeting (salam) of the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam).
